Rules & Guidelines
The following section is dedicated to outlining the guidelines that you, ‘The Member’ are expected to follow as part of your registration. If you actively choose or repeatedly break these rules, you may receive a warning, infraction, suspension or ban. We consider ourselves extremely lenient, so don't think you have to walk a fine line. After all, forums are about having fun, and without all of you, we'd be quite boring. Above all else, be awesome and have fun.

ARTICLE I: THE BOARD RULES

Section A: Spam (‘Stupid. Pointless. Annoying. Message(s).')
    Spam includes, but is not limited to; irrelevant and/or off-topic posts, senseless double-posting, posting for the sake of increasing your post count, starting misleading and/or out-of-place threads and promoting/advertising your own message board. Posts under four words are discouraged and may be deleted under the moderator's discretion.
Section B: Bumping / Necroposting
    We do not discourage necroposting, but please do it wisely. If we believe you're necroposting just for post count, your post(s) will be deleted. (See Section A: Spam)
Section C: Linking / Advertising
    While we do allow links to places outside of GZ, we do not allow links to personal message boards in any way, shape or form. Personal social media fan pages and groups are also prohibited.
Section D: Explicit Material / Content
    I'm sure this can go without saying, but we do not allow anything adult-related in nature (sans Writers Craft). Also avoid overly sexual content and heavy use of vulgar language (you want to sound intelligent).
Section E: Flaming / Trolling
    Be respectful of your peers and share your opinions civilly. Rudeness (including slanderous words) and personal attacks against members - of this community or otherwise - will not be tolerated. That being said, be realistic and pay attention to what is being discussed and argued; realize that when inanimate objects are being criticized, it is not a personal attack on you, and “playing the victim” will not be tolerated.
Section F: Insubordination
    Leave the moderation to the moderators, and be respectful of them and their work; they are here to have fun just as much as you are, and any advice they give you is for the better of everyone's enjoyment. Decisions by the moderation and administration team, while not taken lightly, are final, and are not open to debate or appeal.
Section G: Mod Playing
    When a rule is broken; members are discouraged from posting about it. Do not instigate things by posting, “You're breaking the rules!”, “OMG! I’m getting a Mod!”, etc. because such behavior may encourage additional rules to be broken. Please PM a member of the staff or report the post via the report feature if you see a rule violation.
Section H: Double Accounting
    Creating a second account will only be allowed with administrator approval.
Section I: Suspension Evasion
    If you decide to evade your suspension by registering with another account, you will be banned immediately.
Section J: Ban Evasion
    If you evade your ban, you will immediately be re-banned and higher levels of punishment will be enacted, such as an ISP Alert and/or a server ban from all of Jcink's network services.
ARTICLE II: THE BOARD GUIDELINES

Section K: Typing Etiquette / Grammar (See: The Basics of “Generation Z” Grammar.)
    You want people to understand what you are saying, and you likely want to be taken seriously. Please try to use proper sentence structure when you write, along with punctuation and spacing where appropriate. While these situations are rare, posts are subject to being corrected by staff; this is intended to give people a little “heads-up” that they agreed to these rules and are expected to type properly. Not every little mistake will be corrected (especially those from our foreign, non-native-English-speaking visitors), but if you find yourself subject to these corrections, it may be time to re-evaluate your posting style.
Section L: Avatars
    If you already have an avatar, all you need is to find and click the My Controls link near the top of the forum. After that, find the Personal Profile section under the Menu category and there you will see an option titled Edit Avatar Settings. Once you click that you can either browse your computer for an image or use one that we've already uploaded. If you're using your own avatar, it'll need to be saved as a '.jpg' or '.gif' file for it to work. Our maximum allowable avatar size is 120 by 120 pixels. If you do not have an avatar, and want one of your own, feel free to go to our Creative Designs section and request one from one of our amazing graphic designers.
Section M: Signatures
    If you already have a signature, all you need is to find and click the My Controls link near the top of the forum. After that, find the Personal Profile section under the Menu category and there you will see an option titled Edit Signature. If you have a signature in a .jpg, .gif, or .png format already, all you'll need to do is place it inside IMG tags like this: [I M G]InsertImageLinkHere[/I M G]. Remove the spaces in [I M G] and [/I M G] and the image should appear. If you do not have a signature, and want one personalized for you, feel free to go to our Creative Designs section and request one from one of our amazing graphic designers.
ARTICLE III: MEMBER AGREEMENT

Signing up for this forum enters you into a contract in which you agree to abide by these 'Rules & Guidelines' for the good of the message board as a whole. You also acknowledge that these rules can be changed, added to, deleted, etc. at any time. The rules are not necessarily to be taken literally each and every step of the way, and are always up to interpretation by the administrators and moderators, only. You understand that a message board is not a democratic entity; the members do not vote people into power positions and they have little recourse in light of moderation.
